Privacy policy

Scale Composer works without accounts and without storing your design work on our servers. This page describes what data the site and the tool handle, and how.

The tool

Your composition — scale, palettes, typography, grid — lives in your browser. When you share a session, the whole state is encoded into the link itself; nothing is uploaded. Computations run on our server, but requests are stateless: they are processed to produce the result and are not stored or associated with you. The tool uses localStorage for small preferences (language, whether you have seen the intro) — this never leaves your browser.

Advertising

Content pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads and measure their performance. You can control personalization in Google Ads Settings, and read more in how Google uses data from partner sites. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s certified consent tool before any advertising cookies are set.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and how visitors find them. It sets cookies in your browser and sends page views to Google, which processes them on our behalf; the reports we see are aggregate — pages, countries, referrers — not identified people. You can opt out for every site with Google's browser add-on, and read what Google does with the data in the Google privacy policy.

Server logs

Like most web servers, ours keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations. Logs are rotated and are not used to profile visitors.
